Verdict: the best study plan in the space, next to the practice it points at. NeetCode's free Blind 75 and NeetCode 150 with video explanations are how a generation learned patterns, and Pro at $119 a year is honest, non-renewing pricing for a deep course library. It now includes a structured AI coding mock as well. DevInterview.AI's job starts where the roadmap ends: free-form live voice interviews across coding, system design, and behavioral, with an interviewer that questions you as you work.

What NeetCode actually is
The study side of interview prep, done unusually well. The free tier alone, Blind 75, NeetCode 150, the 250 beginner plan, all solvable on-site with video explanations from the YouTube channel that made the brand, is the best free curriculum in the space. Pro adds 200+ course videos including system design, solutions in eight languages, company-tagged problems, and NeetBot for hints and debug analysis, at $119 a year with auto-renew off by default, or $297 lifetime.
Credit where due: NeetCode recently added an AI Coding Interviews mode with a voice mock. By their own description it is a structured three-phase session, solve, reflect, get AI voice follow-ups and a scored debrief, and it covers coding only. That is a real step past silent drilling. It is a different thing from a free-form interview, where the interviewer decides what to probe, interrupts your approach in the moment, and runs the whole conversation, and it does not exist at all for system design or behavioral rounds.
Where NeetCode wins
Learning patterns. If you cannot yet recognize a sliding window or when a heap fits, NeetCode's roadmap and videos are the fastest fix, and the essential parts are free. The one-time pricing is also about as consumer-friendly as this market gets, and we would rather point you there than pretend our courses replace that depth of video explanation.
Where DevInterview.AI wins
The interview itself, in every format. Our sessions are open-ended conversations: the interviewer asks why, challenges the approach you picked, and follows the thread of your actual performance rather than a fixed phase script. Coding runs in a real editor with execution in five languages; system design is 45 minutes of live voice on a design canvas; behavioral runs structured follow-ups on your real stories. Every session ends with a scored evaluation and a hire verdict, tracked against your previous ones. Two of those three formats have no NeetCode equivalent at any price.
Who should pick which
- Haven't learned the patterns: NeetCode free tier, then come back.
- Interviews on the calendar: DevInterview.AI, daily reps across all three formats.
- Both, comfortably: their $119 year of study plus our $119.99 year of unlimited interviews still totals less than two human mock sessions.
FAQ
Does NeetCode have mock interviews?
For coding, yes, a recently added structured AI session with voice follow-ups and a scored debrief. There is no free-form conversational interview, and no system design or behavioral mock of any kind.
Is NeetCode Pro worth $119 a year?
For the course videos, roadmap, and company-tagged problems, it is one of the better paid study deals, and the plan does not auto-renew by default. It buys study, not interview rehearsal.
Can I use both?
That is the natural pairing: NeetCode to learn and drill patterns, DevInterview.AI to rehearse performing them out loud. The free tiers of both cover a lot before either subscription is needed.
