DevInterview.AI vs Final Round AI (2026): Practice or Copilot?

By the DevInterview TeamPublished September 1, 2026

Verdict: different products for different intentions. Final Round AI's flagship is a copilot that feeds you answers during real interviews, in a window hidden from screen share. DevInterview.AI trains you to not need one. Both use AI; only one of them is interview practice. Decide which thing you are actually buying before comparing prices.

What Final Round AI actually is

A desktop app whose headline feature, in their own words, listens to your live interview and delivers real-time answers in a private window only you can see, across Zoom, Meet, Teams, HackerRank and CoderPad, with a Stealth Mode that hides the window from screen sharing and recordings by default. Around it sits a suite: resume tools, question prediction, and a practice mode they now call Practice Interview.

Two things to know before paying. The pricing page advertises "from $25+/mo," but their own pricing blog spells out what that means: $25 a month is the annual plan billed $300 upfront; quarterly is $180 upfront; month to month is $90, which the same blog labels non-refundable. And the refund policy on other plans runs 72 hours, is voided by what they define as substantial use, two sessions over 30 minutes, and deducts payment-processor fees.

The part we will say plainly

Using undisclosed real-time assistance in a live interview violates most companies' interview policies, and detection keeps improving. That is not our rule; it is the terms candidates sign. A tool whose flagship mode exists to be invisible to the interviewer is built for that use, whatever else the suite contains. Whether that risk is worth it is your call to make with clear eyes; our product simply does something else.

Where Final Round AI wins

If what you want is in-the-moment support and you accept the risk, that is their product, and ours does not do it. Their materials also cover a wide sweep of formats and languages, and the suite's resume and question-prediction tools have no equivalent here.

Where DevInterview.AI wins

Everything about actually getting better. Unlimited live voice interviews where an AI interviewer questions you, pushes back, and scores you across four dimensions with a hire verdict; a real editor with code execution in five languages; 45-minute system design sessions on a canvas; behavioral rounds with follow-ups. At $24.99 a month against their $90, or $119.99 a year against their $300, the practice-first path is also simply cheaper. And skill, unlike a hidden window, follows you into the on-site, the whiteboard round, and the job itself.

FAQ

How much does Final Round AI really cost?

Per their own pricing blog: $25 a month billed annually at $300 upfront, $60 a month billed quarterly at $180, or $90 month to month. The live pricing page shows only "from $25+/mo."

Is using an interview copilot cheating?

Most companies' interview policies prohibit undisclosed assistance, and their flagship Stealth Mode exists specifically to keep the tool invisible to interviewers. Read your own agreements and decide; we build for the opposite bet.

Does Final Round AI have mock interviews?

Yes, a practice mode now called Practice Interview inside the suite. The flagship product, and most of the marketing, is the live-interview Copilot.

What does DevInterview.AI do instead?

Mock interviews only: live voice, all three formats, scored evaluations with hire verdicts, unlimited on paid plans, first one free with no card.
