2. interviewing.io's AI Interviewer: free AI mocks, limits unpublished

interviewing.io is best known for paid mocks with human engineers, which start at $179 a session. Its AI Interviewer is free and, in their words, "simulates a FAANG-style interview," for both coding and system design. Their homepage says you can work through over 200 problems from Beyond Cracking the Coding Interview for free, with detailed feedback at the end. They do not publish a session cap, and their site does not mention voice or say whether it runs your code, so try it before you build a plan around it.

Choose it when you want repeated free AI mocks and do not need them to be voice.

3. Aced (formerly Exponent): 5 free peer mocks a month

Pramp's free peer interviews now live inside Aced, the new name Exponent adopted in August 2026. A free account gets 5 peer mock interviews a month: you are matched with another candidate and you take turns interviewing each other over video, in a shared editor that runs 9 languages. Aced's AI mock interviews are a separate, paid feature on the Expert plan: $99 a month, or $20 a month billed yearly.

The tradeoff: your interviewer is another candidate, so feedback quality depends on who you get, and every session needs a scheduled partner.

4. Hello Interview: free to start, graded by tests

Hello Interview's guided practice is free to start, and its AI coding problems run in the browser and are graded by test suites, with instant feedback. They do not say how many problems the free tier includes. Premium is a one-time purchase: $47 for 1 month, $79 for 1 year, or $279 lifetime (list price $59, $99, and $349, shown crossed out), and none of it auto-renews. Their live human mock interviews ended on May 31, 2026.

5. Educative: a free AI mock, count not published

Educative offers a "Start Free Interview" button for coding and for system design. Its page describes an interactive editor for code and a diagramming workspace for design, does not mention voice, and says a session typically runs 45 to 60 minutes. Its mock interview page does not say how many free interviews you get or what the paid plans cost.

6. NeetCode: AI coding interviews in beta

NeetCode added AI coding interviews, currently in beta. Each session moves through a bug fix, an implementation, and an optimization: you ship passing tests, then explain your approach. A Mock Interview mode adds voice follow-ups and a scored voice debrief. The page does not say whether the feature is free or part of NeetCode Pro, which costs $119 for a year (list price $199; auto-renew is off by default) or $297 for lifetime access (list price $599).

7. LeetCode: free practice, not a mock interview

LeetCode's free problem set is where most people start, and for good reason. It is not a mock interview, though: timed mock assessments are a Premium feature, and nobody asks you follow-up questions. Solving silently in an online judge does not train the skill interviews actually test, which is explaining your approach out loud while you work.

Free claims you will see that are wrong

Final Round AI appears on most "free AI mock interview" lists, but its free plan does not include practice interviews. Practice is part of the paid Pro plan, $300 a year (shown as $25 a month), and the product's center is a live-interview copilot. Google Interview Warmup is still recommended on older lists, but Google retired it in 2026 and the old link now goes to a general article.

Where a page does not say how many free sessions you get, or does not show a price, we wrote "not published" instead of repeating what other lists claim. Several lists we checked still recommend tools that are retired or not free.
