The problem is price. Third-party reviews in 2026 consistently report roughly $180 to $340 per session, with coaching packages around $2,000. 2. Exponent Practice, formerly Pramp: the free option
Pramp merged into Exponent in July 2024 and its peer mocks now run as Exponent Practice, still free. You are matched with another candidate and interview each other. Free accounts get monthly credits; $12 a month billed annually removes the cap.
The tradeoff: your interviewer is another candidate. Quality varies wildly, no-shows happen, and each session needs scheduling.
3. interviewing.io's own free tier
Worth knowing before you pay anyone: interviewing.io offers a free AI interviewer for coding and system design, a free peer-matching queue (limited supply), and free access to 200+ problems from Beyond Cracking the Coding Interview. If what you wanted from them was the brand, start here.
4. LeetCode Premium: drilling, not mocks
$35 a month or $159 a year for company-tagged problems and timed assessments. It replaces zero mock interviews, but it is the right tool for the drilling phase that should precede them. Pair it with a voice tool, because silent typing does not train the explaining-out-loud skill interviews actually test.
5. Hello Interview: system design study
If your gap is system design knowledge rather than interview delivery, Hello Interview's courses and guided practice are strong. $47 for a month, $79 for a year, none of it auto-renews. Note that their live 1:1 mock interview and mentorship programs ended May 31, 2026, so they are no longer an interviewing.io alternative for human mocks.
6. Yoodli: fix your delivery
An AI communication coach that scores pacing, filler words, and concision. Free tier with 5 sessions, paid from $8 a month. It will not judge your code. Use it if feedback keeps saying "rambles" or "hard to follow."
7. Final Round AI: mocks with an asterisk
Offers AI mock interviews from $25 a month, but its flagship is a real-time copilot that feeds you answers during live interviews. That use violates most companies' interview policies, so we list it for its practice features only.
When interviewing.io is still the right answer
One or two weeks before a real onsite, a single session with a human who has run hundreds of loops is worth the money if you can afford it. Their interviewer quality is the ceiling for the category.
