Pramp merged into Exponent in July 2024, and its free peer-to-peer mocks now run as Exponent Practice. Still free, still useful. But the reasons people search for alternatives have not changed: your interviewer is another nervous candidate, feedback quality is a coin flip, scheduling needs a partner, and no-shows waste your evening. Here are the seven alternatives that fix those problems in 2026.
Disclosure: we build DevInterview.AI, and this is our blog. Every price was checked against the vendor's own pages in August 2026, with sources linked at the bottom.
Quick comparison
| Alternative | Fixes what about peer mocks | Price |
|---|---|---|
| DevInterview.AI | No partner needed, consistent feedback, unlimited reps | $19.99/mo, $99.99/yr |
| interviewing.io | Interviewer is a real FAANG-level engineer | ~$180 to $340 per session |
| Exponent Practice | It is still Pramp, modernized | Free; $12/mo annual for full access |
| LeetCode Premium | Timed assessments without scheduling | $35/mo or $159/yr |
| Hello Interview | System design knowledge gaps | $79/yr |
| Yoodli | Communication feedback on demand | Free to $20/mo |
| Final Round AI | AI mocks (with caveats) | From $25/mo |
1. DevInterview.AI: the on-demand replacement
The core friction of Pramp was always the partner: finding one, scheduling one, and hoping they take it seriously. DevInterview.AI removes the partner entirely. A live voice AI interviewer runs a full 30 to 45 minute session, coding in a real editor with execution, system design on a diagram canvas, or behavioral, then scores it against a consistent rubric covering problem solving, code quality, and communication.
Pricing: $19.99 a month or $99.99 a year, unlimited sessions. First interview free, no card.
Tradeoff: no human on the other side. You lose the experience of managing a real person's attention, which is worth practicing at least a few times before an onsite.
2. interviewing.io: when you want a professional
The opposite direction: instead of a free peer, pay for a senior, staff, or principal engineer from a FAANG-adjacent company. Third-party reviews in 2026 report roughly $180 to $340 per session. Feedback quality is the best in the category. Use it sparingly for calibration, not volume. They also run a free peer queue of their own with limited supply.
3. Exponent Practice: what Pramp actually became
Before leaving, know what the new Pramp includes: free monthly peer mock credits, AI-generated transcripts and feedback on sessions, and matching across SWE, PM, data science, and system design tracks. Membership at $12 a month billed annually removes the credit cap and unlocks Exponent's courses. If peer practice works for you, it remains the best free option.
4. LeetCode Premium: solo assessments
$35 a month or $159 a year. Timed, company-tagged mock assessments you can start any minute of any day, no partner. What it does not do: talk. Pair it with a voice tool so your first out-loud explanation does not happen in a real interview.
5. Hello Interview: when the gap is knowledge, not practice
If peer partners keep out-designing you, study first. Strong system design courses with guided practice, $47 a month or $79 a year, no auto-renew. Their live 1:1 mocks ended May 31, 2026, so this is a study resource, not a mock platform.
6. Yoodli: feedback on how you talk
Records any practice answer and scores pacing, filler words, and structure. Free for 5 sessions, then from $8 a month. Good supplement when peer feedback says "unclear" but cannot tell you why.
7. Final Round AI: AI mocks, with eyes open
AI mock interviews from $25 a month. Its flagship real-time copilot for live interviews violates most companies' policies, so treat it as a practice tool only.
The honest recommendation
Peer mocks are free and real, and that combination is hard to beat at the start. The ceiling arrives when you need reps on demand and feedback you can trust week over week. That is the point of an AI interviewer: volume without a partner. Then, if the stakes justify it, one human session to calibrate. Our full 2026 comparison covers every tool in this space.
